The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an acquired item like armor, weapon or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind and comes with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. They don't keep the original level of the item upgrades and any wasted resources will not be refunded.
The surviving players can acquire Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests or purchased from the store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of an item such as increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power boost damage from weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to higher quality. To create them, you need an upgrade level token for rerolling. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard Best item upgrade, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces, the reroll marker remains in the space until the next success result is to be rerolled. This allows you to save upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they are open they show a complete description and icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop can exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
During the course of an event, blueprints may be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers to reroll, and also those that are in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the quality of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. They are also available to players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment, the player must first locate the item upgrader kit and then click the "level up button". The menu will be displayed showing the Best item upgrade's current level and what it will be when being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. Once the player has met the requirements, they can click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the item's rarity and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.

Additionally players can also take apart higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The upgrade materials will be used up and the Best item upgrade will be upgraded to an upgraded level. The process will continue until the item reaches its highest level.
Items with upgraded base stats display the blue icon in their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components do not stack with each other, but can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component will require the purchase of a certain amount of items, as well as a minimum equipment level.

Pressing the yellow arrow once a player has sufficient materials will start the upgrading process.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons in order to provide an additional effect or bonus when the equipment is being used. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs that can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
Items upgrades allow players to increase the stats of certain armors and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the kind of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium and a number of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide additional effects or to increase the level of the item. These upgrades can be obtained through a variety of sources in the game, including crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Upgrades can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can improve the stats of the item.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for example, increases base defense and gives an additional 20 percent chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Certain items benefit from upgrading less for their increased stats, but more because it allows players to get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.
The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
