The Upgrade is one the most important items in Pokemon GO. It gives trainers the opportunity to evolve Porygon2 into Porygon and advance in their Pokedex.
This item is scarce, but can be found by spinning a Photo Disc at a Pokestop or as a prize for special occasions. What can this item do?
Components
Upgrade components are things that can be put into weapons, trinkets, or gathering tools in order to give an additional bonus or effect when the item is used. They are an essential component in the crafting process and can be found by salvaging or bought from vendors. They can also be found as drops in the game dropped by enemies, or gathered from item spheres. They can be used to upgrade weapons or armor with an upgrade slot.
To get the highest level of progress in the game, it is crucial to utilize upgrade components to gain the most experience gained by upgrading gear and weapons. The multiplier of experience for an upgraded item is increased by incorporating organic components, while mechanical components decrease it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will enhance the experience you acquire and make it easier to reach the next level.
It's essential to know how the upgrade system functions to maximize the benefits of your upgrades. The system keeps a running total of the item that you are upgrading. Each component has an experience multiplier that can be either positive or negative. When the total reaches the threshold, it is reset to zero.
The amount of experience gained by each upgrade component can also be affected by the item's hidden rank and its experience multiplier. This means that higher-ranked items are more difficult to upgrade, whereas less ranked items are easier to upgrade.
It is crucial to take off all connections and fasteners that are holding the old component. Keep them in an inventory tray for easy identification and secure storage. Once the new hardware is installed, re-connect any wires or cables and connect the power supply to electrical power. Test the computer by turning on. If everything is connected correctly the computer will boot up normally. This is an essential step to ensure that the new hardware will work seamlessly with your current system.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a great way to make your gear better, but you have be aware of how to use them properly. Each glyph can be used to enhance a substat, and the higher the rank of a glyph, the more powerful it is. Choose wisely since you can only upgrade glyphs once. Glyphs can also be used only once which means they are gone after you use them on an artifact or item.
The best symbols are those that increase the likelihood of rolling an affix that matches the desired level. They are usually found on the top weapons, armor, and accessories. You can also find them on the Paragon Board. They are worth the extra effort but aren't always easy to locate.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Chests, or purchased at the Trading Post. Some glyphs can only be used only once, while others remain in place. The latter are great for items that have to be used frequently. The Glyph of Hope, for instance, lets you increase the chance of acquiring a specific affix when you are enchanting items.
Some glyphs are also used to modify existing affixes. This is typically seen on gloves, boots and belts, which are is capable of holding four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight for example, turns a prefix in an experimental affix. This is a useful tool to have if you want to increase the amount of damage you can do or want to make sure that you'll receive a top-quality affix for a particular slot.
Once you reach 50, the game changes dramatically. Instead of being a reliance on the campaign, you'll need to navigate the complicated Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds to ensure that your build is as efficient as it can be.
The best glyphs will be those that match your character's class, like the Exploit Glyph which increases damage to enemies who are vulnerable. Control Glyph is another good glyph that can increase damage against enemies that are frozen, stunned or slow. Each glyph has its own radius, which grows as it is upgraded. This makes glyphs an excellent option to upgrade your gear later in the game.
